Ryan (AKA Ice).Cool like ice, that's Ryan. And it's easy to see why he's got a nickname like that by checking out this photo right here. Ryan recently returned from a six month trip to India, where he came to the revealation that he wasn't going to be a 'consumer' any more. So that's where the stylin' wardrobe comes from - from not consuming. However, I must admit, this photo is a little old - since this photo, Ryan went to Africa for three months and has since relaxed with his "anti-consumer" thing (marginally). Regardless of his fashion sense, Ice is a man of many talents. He was a co-owner of a documentary company called Impax Productions. Ryan's a fantastic interviewing skills make for some really interesting and insightful work. Ryan's documentary entitled Human Trials: Testing the AIDS Vaccine Was shown on CBC Newsworld in April of 2003, and since then he's moved to Toronto to work on a CBC series called NERVE, where he shoots and cuts segments as a video journalist. |
