Loads of fun and excitement at this year's E3 expo!
Here' s a few random snaps that I picked up while at E3 this year!
Here's Asaph (The Supreme Commander of Nerd Corps) and I heading to E3 to check
out the action!
Sony was pimping the PSP LARGE, as expected. There was a PSP Socom that you could
fool around with that was pretty cool, but it's hard to control a 1st person shooter
with the wee little joystick. It's shipping in a few months, I think.
Is your current Xbox controller in need of a replacement? How about this DRAGON ONE?
$29.95, coming soon. Dude, it's a DRAGON! The control pad is a RUBY!
Lucky PS2 users can pick up a "mutant face" controller for thier system today, for $29.95.
Lovely, no?
Hey, it's the Konami booth! They're doing a DS game for Dragon Booster, which is
animated by Nerd Corps, where I work!
Lots of promotional Dragon Booster stuff.
Dragon Booster had a little promo video, but it wasn't of the game. Guess it's
still a work-in-progress game. Pity, I was looking forward to checking it out.
Good news - the lame "behind the ear" Xbox headset is GONE! This is the new one. Retro cool.
Webcam for it, too! Gotta get me one of these.
So one of the E3 nights there was this gallery opening called "8 bit art" which had loads of LA artists
doing cool works based around vintage games. It was apparently "the place to be", so I had to attend.
Lots of development people from the networks and some of LA's hot animation creators were there,
having done some pieces for the show. Great stuff! This one reminded me of a Beadle!
Crappy photo, but I LOVED the art and the game was the best. Remember Rampage?
Someone took one of those little OmniBot things and put him in a combat vest and equipped
him with a vintage Nintendo controller. Well, I thought it was an Omnibot, but Ferraro knew
better - he ID' him as ROB, the Nintendo robot (well, his head was, anyhow).
Daaaamn, Qbert's getting the squeeze here. Poor guy.
Aaaaaah, Hunter S, my hero, enjoys a round of Duck Hunt.
Too awesome.
Ok, back at E3 now. Lots of movie stuff on display, like costums from the Lion, the Witch
and the Wardrobe (which were pretty cool, but the photo was blurry) and the Batmobile.
People lined up, for, like, an HOUR so they could have thier picture taken with the show-floor
models. THIS GUY is an "industry insider"? Pfffft. Whatever, skippy. Yeah, go on,
ask em' for a date. Doink.
If I could have this in my living room, man, I'd never go out on the weekend. Are you kidding me?
cocktails and multi-player gaming? Man oh MAN that would rule!
Here's Nintendo's little Game Boy Micro. It's WEENY! The screen is like, two loonies!
Plays movies too! You'd probably get a massive headache watching a movie on this,
but it's a cool feature.
