Here's some snaps from Gio & Michelle's honeymoon in Italy, October 2005.
The Coliseum in all it's glory, feel the history.
The massive and impressive Duomo in Milan. Unfortunately it's covered in scaffolding for restoration but
inside it's bigger than a football field.
Piazza San Marco in Venice, notice that the streets are flooded thanks to high tide.
A sunny afternoon in Florence.
Gio's new cousin Fillipo, he's not that impressed with him, he'd rather eat that breadstick in his hand.
Gio feeling the family love in the streets of Maenza, Mario's (Gio's dad) home town.
Gio displaying his amazing map reading skills on the streets of Rome.
Gio and his grandfather Giovanni.
The pigeons of Venice are rather friendly.
The showers of Italy are rather small.
As are the stairwells tiny. I guess everyone in Italian history is quite small.
Even honeymoons require a stop for laundry.
Michelle and Gio inside the historic Coliseum
Michelle & Gio stand in front of one of the three David statues in Florence
Michelle and Gio moments before sunset in Florence
Michelle and Gio stand in front of the famous fountain in Rome, it
was so busy we couldn't get near enough to toss in a coin for good luck,
so Gio just set fire to it instead.
Here the happy couple stand in front of Mario Corsi's childhood home.
Six kids grew up in a tiny one bedroom apartment, they must have
been real tiny kids, like all other Italians.
Michelle & Gio stand in St. Peter's Square in Vatican City. Moments before this pic,
the actual Pope drove by in a Popemobile wearing his pope-gear.
Michelle & Gio pose in front of a Venetian Canal
The legendary Il Campo in Siena
Michelle stands on the beaches of Terrechina, a small Italian town between Rome and Maenza.
She is one ocean closer to dipping her feet in all the great waterbodies of the world.
Michelle happily waits in one of the many lines for one of the many exhibits in Florence
Michelle befriends some pigeons in Venice
Michelle stands at the Spanish Steps in Rome
The impressive Train Station in Milan
A classic street in Siena it was taken at 2:30 in the afternoon when everything is closed and
everyone is at home, eating lunch, drinking wine and not working for a couple of hours.
Nice life, Italian style.
The sun breaks through an afternoon storm over the Tuscan Vineyards gotta love Italy.
Michelle & Gio enjoy tasting some wine.... fifth glass in five minutes.
A killer Italian Sunset. Great way to end a great Honeymoon.
