"Golf GTI: Original, Updated"

Created by DDB agency in London, this kickass ad takes original footage of Gene Kelly in the musical classic and funks it up with modern dancing. DDB recreated the set from "Singing in the rain" inside of Shepperton Studios, and dressed three different breakdancers in suits made to match the original film. The production duplicated the camera moves, and then comped Gene's face on the dancers. Awesome! The remix of the song is by a group called "Mint Royale", and if you've managed to find it, let me know where I can get a copy! What a great bit of work, this is wildly creative and totally cool.
